Why are students with bad grades treated like criminals?

Anonymous
They're only hurting themselves, yet anonymous strangers online seem to take it very personally when responding to the news that someone or someone's kid has bad grades. They act as though that student has done bad things to them or to other people.

“Treated like criminals???””

Are you joking, OP?

Even actual criminals who commit violent crimes in and out of school are not “treated like criminals” by today’s uber-woke schools in the DMV.

Social promotion.

Failing students are treated to the privilege of moving up to the next grade, even if they fail every class.

They care and want to motivate them to improve

Wait - just a moment, OP:

You believe words posted by (as you put it) “ anonymous strangers online “ somehow equals “being treated like criminals” ??

You may want to re-think what you wrote.

Meh.

Plenty of us parents believe C’s earn degrees.

Maybe you need better online friends OP.

Even students who assault others aren't treated like criminals.

The criminal comparison is over the top but kids with bad grades hurt all kids in progressive school systems that are obsessed with closing the gap. They act as an albatross around the necks of the top performers because progressive school systems cannot let those kids get too far ahead.
