GPS Tags for Dogs

Has anyone used a GPS tag or collar on their dog? We are moving to a house that abuts Wolf Trap and there are a lot of foxes. My dog will chase a fox if she gets the opportunity. We are concerned she will get away from us chasing a fox and will run and run and get lost and won't know how to come home to the new house. I thought about an Apple air tag, but that won't work (it only works if it can use nearby iphones, so it'll work if you drop your wallet at Costco but won't necessarily help you find a dog in the woods -- or a wallet in the woods for that matter).

A quick Google reveals some options, but I'd love to hear from anyone who has done this, or considered it and weighed the options.

I bought this, after my newly adopted Husky somehow escaped the fence twice.

It works quite well, and I feel like if I lose her in the woods (we are next to 40+ undeveloped acres, and a large power line that can lead her just about anywhere quickly), we will know where to look at least. The tracking does have a subscription fee. We signed up for 2 years. I figured that's probably how long it lasts.

We use an Apple target. We found a lost dog with one, held the tag up, got the owner’s information to call them.
