HELP ! Son bought a black suit for a wedding.

Is this appropriate ?

Of course. Unless the wedding is black tie, in which case he needs a tux.

People won't notice. (Black dress on a woman is just so much more noticeable.)

Add a colorful tie. Maybe even fun, colorful dress socks.

Of course.
Why would it not be?

What is wrong with you?

Color of shirt should be white, OP. Or another pale color, but a dark shirt with a dark suit is not typical for a wedding, unless specifically requested.

No, but honestly no one seems to know or care about the “rules” anymore, so he should be fine.

Thank you for your kind comment.

At least it isn't brown.

Always thought that black was for funerals and funeral directors and dead people.

Ive never heard of black suits not being wedding appropriate. Almost every man I've seen in a suit at a wedding have been black or blue.

Are you worried some old biddies are going to gossip about your son? What is the concern here

Okay. Thanks. Black suit, black shirt, black fedora hat, & white tie ?

Shoes should be black with white trim ?

LOL ! Thank you for your humorous comeback. I like you.

Truthfully, I really thought that black suits were only for somber occasions.
