Costa Rica

Looking for location and resort recommendations in Costa Rica. Or a recommended travel agent who can help. Tween children so would love to have ajoining rooms. We like outdoor activities -- hiking and maybe rafting. Not looking for Four Seasons caliber but a resort with nice accommodations and good food.

Have you searched this site at all? Tons of posts on Costa Rica

Sure did. Lots of posts on monkeys... people seem to really love it...someone canceled spring break because it was too hot...

Just hoping all those that really like it had some specific recommendations.

Nayara. There are 3 resorts (1 is adults only). Top end is a family tent at Nayara Tented Camp, which is 2 bedrooms. It’s an unforgettable family vacation

We liked Hotel el silencio del campo and Arenas Del Mar. We booked with Costa Rica Vacations (I think it used to be Namu Travel Group?).

We used them last year. Highly recomment. They'll give you a range of options meeting the needs you specify and will coordinate activities and transfers. It was easy and seemless.

This was 5 years ago, but we had lovely stays at both Tulemar and Rafiki Safari Lodge, both of which I found through this board. Tulemar was pricey but just lovely—one bedroom villa we stayed it had two twin beds in the living room and was perfect for our family of 4. Rafiki was a little more rustic, but the setting, food, and activities were all great.
