I do not understand how Lebron at age 40 thinks he can be competitive in NBA playoffs

Competitive enough to win to a championship.
Everybody plays at a higher level in the playoffs.
I do not understand how he thinks at age 40 he can be competitive with much younger players in the 20s and 30s after a full NBA season of games.

There is a reason why most NBA teams lose interest in players at the age 36 and 37 year old mark.
It is not rocket science.

In his prime yes he was one of the best ever.
But his prime ended 3 or 4 years ago.

He can play another two or three seasons, easily. Agree he is a top ten player in the league. He is not the reason the Lakers didn’t advance.
