well, no, but it would be much better if you get some plantings in those terraces and give them ~ 15 years to mature.

I second the PP, it needs some good landscaping and greenery, it’s not ideal but can be made charming.

Could they not make the front of the house less ugly for 3 million. Why do they build these monstrosities.

I think they just set it up for landscaping, probably the idea is for something like phlox or junipers on the sloped sections and grasses, shrubs or flowering perennials in the terraced section.

It looks okay to me, certainly will be nicer than a plain wall once it has grown.

Such a boring house for so much money. The backyard isn’t appealing at all. Plus, I love how the first feature listed is “beautiful gates.” Huh?

I bet that they spent a small fortune building that wall and the rest of the hardscaping!

They probably had, or have, flooding and water issues and therefore had to terrace the backyard.

You can see the house sits below the neighbor's.

All those windows, but not a single curtain or blind. That's a small fortune on window treatments.

I'd rather buy my own window treatments than whatever they wanted.

I’m guessing there’s a French drain and sump pump already installed as part of the landscaping. But yeah it’s not ideal grading.

The lot has a very high natural slope. In order to create a level area for the house and backyard, they had to excavate, a lot. This required lots of retaining walls. It's a blank slate for decorative planting but, wow, I'd want to know how they are handling runoff. Not just from the site but all the higher up ones surrounding it.
