Is anyone else still waiting on a payment? What have you done to try to retrieve this money? My child is about to graduate. Is it possible to sue FCPS in small claims court? The payment was approved by the school.

They are purposefully delaying payment. Start calling and emailing every day and add the superintendent onto the email.

I am in a FB group about special ed in FCPS and this is how people have gotten paid.

Email the new settlement administrator Adam Cahuantzi. Keep sending emails and cc your child’s case manager and school board member.

It is not an anti-FCPS group. It is a parents f dyslexic students group who support and help each other.

So can FCPS be sued by an individual person for this money?

I just recently got paid, it took about a year from start to finish. You have to email and call on a regular basis. My case was forwarded to so many different people that I created a file to track what everyone did in the process and followed up with everyone as it changed hands. A nightmare to say the least. But most of the contacts were responsive with the exception of the starting individuals. Email, email, email like crazy.
