How much is reasonable to spend on dinner costs for insurance reimbursement purposes?

We are staying in temp housing pending repair of our home due to an unexpected disaster.

Insurance will cover the cost of dinners above what we normally spend (I forget the exact language for this).

How do I calculate the cost of dinners pre-move to temp housing? We are eating out every dinner b/c our temp housing is further from school/work.

If you understand how insurance works, then you will not want to spend much. If you don’t and are not worried then have a ball, but be aware that insurance might find a way to deny some of your claim

I think reasonable for dinners out would be the cost of the meal at Wegmans, Whole Foods or McDonalds, ikea

Fed travel per diem for three meals is about $60.
