summer weight pants

Anonymous
I keep seeing women walking around in patterned lightweight pants. Not too baggy, but loose, ankle-length and comfortable looking. Maybe rayon or something more breathable... They look like they can be easily dressed up or down. I love how they look with a fitted t-shirt and sandals or sneakers.

Anyone else been seeing these? Thoughts on where to look online?

athleta brooklyn pants - I love them! I actually saw some imitation ones at costco recently.

I do not find these breathable at all. I am not sure what pants you saw OP but maybe you'd like linen blend pants?

I wear linen all summer. Really if I am wearing pants linen is the only thing I wear.

OP, these pants seem to be everywhere this season. I call them PJ pants meant to be worn outside. I have no idea what material they are...seems some are linen blends.

That last pair has a smocked waist. That seems an odd choice for a hot sweaty weather. Fun colors though.

I love these Athleta pants! Super lightweight and comfy and don’t wrinkle like linen pants.

Linen is more elegant and breathable than a rayon blend anyday.

I have several linen-blend pairs - wide leg, elastic/smock waist, fun print - from Marshalls/TJ Maxx. Love them and get tons of compliments on them.

And viscose! Can't imagine wearing on a hot day.

Thanks for the suggestions! It feels like such a struggle finding pants that work for me right now!

I have several linen blouses and dresses, but hate linen for pants. I am tall-ish but have short legs and carry my weight in my thighs and backside, and feel that linen pants just always look horrid on me even with a fitted t-shirt. Other women look elegant. I just look like one of my old peasant relatives working the farm.

I’d love other suggestions if there are any!
I’m 5’8” and normally wear an 8. But like I said, my weight is in my lower half. My backside is no joke no matter what I weigh or what shape I’m in!

Just saw some BananaRepublic linen(ish?) pants at Costco in solid black and navy that look great for basics. Beware BR bottoms run small (at least the ones that make their way to Costco).

Doesn’t linen wrinkle like crazy?

Gap Runaround pants. Yes, Gap. I know, but trust me.
