SYC coaches to Arlington

The 2011B MLS Next is getting another new coach this Fall. Both their coaches from this year proudly announced they are leaving to go to Arlington.

If winning with the biggest kids you can find is so much fun, why leave? Maybe they realized that's not real soccer or anywhere close to true development.

You mean... if winning with the biggest kids and playing kickball...

HG could not handle the level of competition and left the team after a disappointing start of the Fall season.

Well aren't they the ones responsible for implementing the "real" soccer since they are the coaches. Aren't they responsible to coach and develop the players. Maybe it was their stile of relying on fast and bigger kids that families didn't want. Looks like they went to the best place for your "real" soccer since Arlington is know for playing out of the back, ball control, and building up the field. Got it!!!

Judging by how ST has had the 2010s for the better part of a decade and they are bigger than some pro teams, something tells me it wasn't their philosophy alone.

Only the 2011s are stacked with big boys. They just moved two players from the second team up.

HG won’t last too long over at Arlington. Once those Arlington parents see him pull up in that silly, fresh out of Lids 59fifty baseball cap with the sticker still attached to the brim, they won’t take him too seriously.

Get with the program, HG. This is Arlington. Green polos, brown khaki shorts, brown flip flops, and brown sandals are what these parents are vibing with. The 59fifty stuff with the spare cigarette sitting atop your ear was supposed to end at 25, Coach.

"Brown flip flops and brown sandals" thats a choice? HG hat game sounds right though, stop hating Chad - is that Brooks brothers vest to tight for your mantits to fit into or something?

Sambamamba boyzzzz 4 lyfe, very true though. SYC let HG do whatever he wanted to do, that wont fly at Arlington, parents are much more worried about their kids getting abused than winning matches.

I think he will end up back at SYC.

At this point Arlington is at a desperation point, they hired JR HG AP EA JW because their current coaches like JJ CD and HA were not cutting it.

Thats a sign of insecurity and panic. They hired new coaches to win games not develop players. Wouldnt be surprised if Arlington starts to decline from this point on. Beginning of the end.

So Arlington hired veteran ECNL and MLS Next coaches from surrounding clubs for their 2nd and 3rd teams, and you view this as a sign of weakness how? I'd say it's the Varsity Coaches at Hampden-Sydney taking JV jobs at North Carolina. Says either alot about the allure of Arlington and their environment being worth a demotion or the toxicity of a place like SYC and the now extinct Virginia Union, which was supposedly connected with SYC - on paper at least.

If you have an ounce of a brain cell and familiarity, you would know all those SYC coaches(HG, JR and AP) were part of the problem, they just decided to do it elsewhere, ask around. If you think Arlington got a boost you got viruses looking to infest your club.
