Any TJ kids that have gone to Mason for science? What has the experience been both during the undergrad studies? Underwhelming, Just right, Overwhelming? How about finding jobs after graduation?

Is this a list of colleges to which they were accepted, or the destinations? Does anyone have the number from TJ attending GMU by year?

Fwiw, this isn't exactly what you asked, but it might be relevant in evaluating the answers you get.

I've known several kids from TJ who went to VaTech...they said the first emyear at VT was a complete breeze compared to what they had at TJ. So you might expect the same for those at GMU.

A handful of kids do this, mostly for CS. Most get a free ride (or maybe just free tuition). Some of the kids from my son's batch did a project with this company that offered them jobs after HS. They continue to work for this company part-time during the school year while studying free at Mason.

From the Senior edition of TJ Today, from 2018 to 2013 there have been 33 attending GMU. The numbers for other schools in the same time period are 207 to UVA, 132 to W&M, 82 to VT, and 34 to VCU. My guess is a number of the VCU ones are the guaranteed admission to medical school program.

Why would a TJ graduate go to GMU?

Seems like a waste of talent to me. But yeah if money is a barrier and/or have to stay home, then I guess there's no better option..

Everyone called GMU - NOVA.2.0... Mason is a mediocre college you just go there if you want degree and don't want anything else.
