I have mixed feelings about protesting dog meat. But I will be flying from SEL and I will try this.

We have too may rescue dogs here. This makes no sense to bring more dogs over when the dogs here don't have homes.

Meat dogs are not purebred or well bred at all and are not socialized. They aren't good rescue pets.

Poor things.

Eating dogs sounds as horrifying as eating humans.

My first rescue was an American foxhound who was used for hunting and not used to family life at all. It took a few months but she became the best dog. They can learn with time and patience.

We should help these dogs and our own dogs in shelters by banning breeding. Until we ban designer dog breeding we will always have too many dogs. We can’t refuse to help others just because we have dogs here that need it.

How is it fair to ban breeding of the type of dogs people want as pet like labs or retrievers or Yorkshire terrier? Or designer dogs like a labradoodle?

Irresponsible people get dogs like pit bulls and don't get them neutered or sprayed. Why should families not be able to get the type of dog that they want? I will never adopt a pit or part pit dog or any type of chihuahua dog. So my family should never be able to get a dog, because that is what was available when we looked at various shelters?

It’s not heartless to recognize that it is foolish to spend money rescuing dogs from literally the other side of the planet when there are plenty of dogs here who need homes.

Genuinely curious, but are there such bans in place anywhere?

How many shelters are full of unwanted dogs? Are you planning to go get these dogs to live with you?
