We have an automatic watering hose connected to the house and running under the mulch through our gardens. I can hear it click on and water running from the tap at the house connection, but I don’t see any evidence of water — I checked under a portion of the house that I can see under the mulch. What are some other things to troubleshoot? And if I need to have a repair or maintenance, is this something I need to call a landscaping company for - or someone else? Just trying to figure out how to get this working. Thanks. |
OP here - I had a momentary brain lapse about what this is called - drip irrigation. |
A plumber? Can you check at the hose bib? Did you turn it off over the winter - if not you may have had a frozen/split pipe. |
Call an irrigation company. Did you get it blown out in the fall? We have a company turn ours on and off. |
You need an irrigation company. We’ve used a few and like outdoor illumination and irrigation. You do need to have it winterized every fall - they blow the water out of the system. My guess is you didn’t do that and residual water froze and broke something |
Thanks all.
Yes, we did turn off the water in the winter, but we did not know to have it serviced before the winter and have the water blown out. thanks for suggestion of an irrigation company - will do that! |
You don’t need an irrigation company. Just make sure the water is coming on at the hose bib, then figure out where it’s stopping. |
