Did everyone get dragged to the clubs during college days? I grew up sheltered in the burbs but freshman year all of my room mates started going out to an area where there were dancing clubs near the college. It was really fun but oh so sketchy, I'm surprised nothing bad happened. We only went a few times. We also heard about frat parties but somehow I avoided those, thankfully.

I'm curious if this was normal or not?

Sounds normal but normal doesn't necessarily mean good. I was too mature (or immature?) for parties. Seeing people act weird and drunk freaked me out, and made me never want to drink or go to parties after I went to a few of them, but I'm probably in the minority.

I went to a “rave” in a really sketchy neighborhood in 1997 (my freshman year). How did we even know where to go??

Never got dragged to clubs in college. Went in grad school. I think bc of the city we were in.

Don't think I ever went to a club in college or grad school. Bars, yes. But not clubs. Maybe a bar would become a club after a certain hour? Vaguely remember that.

I worked in dance clubs in college. I definitely felt “dragged there,” because I was at work. The people there weren’t really college students.
