My three-year-old daughter has very fine, wispy, straight hair. It’s far too fine for a braid, for example.
I’m looking for tips on hairstyles that look even slightly put together, and will stay out of her face. Are there websites or youtube tutorials you found helpful? Products you use? Particular hair care routines (we use baby shampoo every other day)? |
No tips, just commiseration. My bald baby turned 2 and still hasn't needed a haircut. I had more hair on my butt than he had on his head the day he was born. |
Cut bangs and/or tidy the back — bowls cuts are very cute on toddlers if it’s straight.
Headbands can help if she’ll keep them on. Flip clips and whale tails with just the front hair are classic. |
This was my hair as a kid! My mom styled my hair with a side part and used a tiny barrette to clip back the messiest-looking area. |
Side part and tiny barrette got us through the first 3 years. At 4, it’s just as fine, but longer so we do a side part with a rope braid/twist to keep it out of her face. |
I put my daughter’s hair in a super high pony. It’s way too fine for anything else and it is adorable! |
Pigtails with the tiny clear elastics. |
