What would be a good RT fare to Seattle?

Trying to find out what would be a good RT fare from the DC area to Seattle. Travel would be most likely in June or July. Know we are incredibly late to book, but just trying to get an idea of the cost. Thank you!

A good cost is $450, but I've seen it around $800-900 the last few summers.

Yeah no way you can $450 for nonstop in summer, unless flying really bad flight times, like a red eye back on a Wednesday, and the 7 AM outbound. Even then probably not under $600.

For summer right now, I would guess anything nonstop under $700 is a good deal I would grab.

My advice is go to Google.com/flights and put in the dates you want to go and monitor for a couple weeks. No way is it too late to get $450 or maybe less round-trip and possibly non stop.

I just bought tix last night for late July to early August. Just under $600 each direct NS from IAD. In the old days I would have waited on the theory they would come down. These days I wasn't going to wait around for prices to go up.

P.S. Thank you Delta Platinum Amex for the companion cert that saved me $600

I just did in February for August travel dates.

June 11 - June 18 (I picked random dates) is $303-$350 on United and Delta, from IAD. 5 direct flights a day at that price. Or you can find $250r/to with a stop.

First class direct is $1,100. on United and Alaska.

Good for you for checking- I was going off last year's prices. I looked into July and it's definitely significantly cheaper to SEA than last year. Interesting, and good!

Is that Delta flight from Dulles new? For years the only airlines serving SEA from the DC area were Alaska and United. Southwest had a summer nonstop for a while from BWI, but I think it stopped with covid and never came back.

Two things:

Prices are higher in July and August because prices are always higher during school breaks. The prices you quoted are for basic economy. If you have a family and want to sit together then you are looking at @$100 per ticket for the "main" version that allows you to select seats.
