Were you ever blown away by a live act? Doesn’t have to be the most famous performer though. Perhaps it was a stadium show, or even a jazz act in a small lounge somewhere. Maybe it was superb musicianship or just great songs from in general.

I’ve been to many great shows at large and small venues. Most recently, I was completely blown away by Trans Siberian Orchestra… musically and visually!

Prince, back in the day, at a smaller venue! |
Michael Jackson |
Taylor a swift - sorry I know that may upset some people |
Prince. No one else comes close. |
Having worked in the “biz” for several decades, I’ve seen hundreds upon hundreds of concerts. From a live band standpoint, the best show I ever saw was by the J. Geils Band. This opinion is shared by a LOT of old timers too. They were on fire and I guess it was rare for them to have an bad night. |

deadmau5 is also great |
Belly at the old 9:30 in 1995...then 20+ years later at the new 9:30 in 2016. Gail ROCKS.
Mumford & Sons at Merriweather in around 2010 was amazing...it felt like they connected with everyone in the crowd. Gypsy Kings shows at Wolf Trap in the 90s were always a lot of fun. Haven't been to many shows in the past decade due to kids but looking forward to going to shows again in the future...with earplugs this time since I'm old. |
tell me they played Flamethrower. |
Early 2000s Dave Matthews Band in the rain at Met Life Stadium (I think it was Giant Stadium then.).
Flaming Lips in mid 2000s at a festival but I had one too many special cookies so that might be part of it. Arcade Fire at a House of Blues many years ago. Amazing and really small venue. |
Lorraine Abdul. Paula’s mom. She brought it. |
I’m an 80s metal head but I swear to his my friend forced to go see Barry Manilow and that was shockingly entertaining! |
