Event is in June at a very nice resort. It is evening cocktails and dinner. I am an exec at the company. I always struggle to find something that is conservative but not too boring. And also not sundressy or revealing and not too short. I did wear a black cocktail dress last year and that was fine. But would like something other than black and no bold prints. Men wear their blue blazers. I wear a size 4 or 6 and am in my mid 50s. Thanks! |
If you are an "exec" and it is a work event, just wear something appropriate and don't concern yourself about not being "boring." You aren't there as a fashion plate. |
Didn’t we already do this thread? |
I just went to one of these. I wore black pants and a nice top and fun but professional blazer. I would tend towards wearing something conservative that you feel confident wearing. |
This in one of the not black colors.

Conservative dress in a bright color. |
Would a jumpsuit work? Seeing lots in stores. |
OP what type of resort is it? A beach place? Ski and hiking place? I think that makes a difference in your selection |
Also would be helpful to know your price range.
The Fold has some nice dresses suitable for an executive at a corporate function. https://thefoldlondon.com/occasionwear/dresses/ |
We did. OP go get a stylist |
In either color

These are so matronly |
Depends on the industry and home base! Is it a NE based insurance company, a Silicon Valley tech company, a NY based ad company? |
I love that! |
Check out Gorsuch. Conservative but not necessarily boring (relatively) clothes. Very pricey but sounds like you can afford it and need to project a certain kind of look. |
