Multiple ear piercings

What does DCUM think of multiple ear piercings on professional women? Cute? I’m sure the answers will be terribly outdated and judgmental, but still, I want to hear them.

I love multiple piercings.

I'm an attorney (so I'm a "professional woman" I guess, which was part of your inquiry) and I only have one piercing in each ear. But that is because 1) I have memories of almost fainting when they were pierced when I was 12, and 2) this is hard to explain, and they aren't infected or anything, but I do feel like they never fully healed and my earlobes can be uncomfortable with earrings in or even a day or so after taking them out. If things were different I'd likely have at least two piercings in each ear.

Gosh, I hope a bunch of people don't jump on here to call me "tacky" and then we get a repeat of that insane acrylic nails thread. We'll see.

I think they look great.

I’m also an attorney. I have 13 ear piercings.

The post is about ears, dumbass.

I think it depends on how big the holes are and how "loud" the earrings are. I have four piercings in my ears total. I thought a long time about getting a fifth but finally decided since I was going back and forth on it, I shouldn't.

Dated

I only have one piercing, but I also like multiple piercings as long as the earrings are dainty. I don't even like a big earring in the first hole when multiple earrings are worn. This is probably a weird/dated opinion but that's my take!

Big law attorney here. I have 7 (!) ear piercings. I wear dainty earrings in each. Never so much as a raised eyebrow from a client or anyone at the firm and I love my piercings! If they make you happy, go for it. It's just a piercing.

I work in a corporate America business casual type office setting and I notice a lot of women with double piercings and I think they look cute

I have a couple pairs of twist earrings that make it look like I have double piercings and I like the look.

Unless they are outrageous I don’t think I’ve ever thought of multiple piercings as unprofessional in any way

I am 50+ and I would like to get more than my single in each ear, but probably won’t because it doesn’t really match my look. I’d like an industrial bar or helix piercing.

I'm sure you've thought of this, but have you been buying earrings with skinny posts? I can't wear anything with a curved post or a thicker post (like you sometimes find on
hoops with a hinged closure). I have to inspect the back of any earrings before buying them. Equally, I can't wear anything heavy. For me, solid gold with skinny post (the skinnier the better) is the way to go. Just sharing in case this helps you!

This sounds like a metal allergy! Try nickel free.

I work in finance and many women in my office have multiple piercings on their ears including in non- lobe locations. I have three in each lobe. The most senior woman in my office had three in each lobe and a nose piercing.
