Ques re econ & personal finance (self-paced) through FCPS during the summer

Can anyone share more about their experience?
Do you have to start on a specific day or log on specific days? How many hours a week? Any major assignments due?
We have a trip planned, but my DC wanted to get this out of the way this summer, but didn't have many details on the workload.

Thanks.

It is self paced and assignments that need to be done by the end. You can do it all in one week at the beginning or end, doesn’t matter. As long as it gets done.

Roughly how many hours a week are typical for the course? 10? 20? more?

My daughter took this class like 7 years ago, but I felt like she sat down at the kitchen table once a week for about 6 hrs to do all the work for that week. She could have done more per week, but I think the work was organized by week. Also knowing her, she probably fast-forwarded every (or almost every) video.

They’ve changed it since then.

My son did it last Summer and thinks everyone should do it. I think they had 5 weeks to complete 120 exit tickets. It was very similar to those Skillsoft trainings many of us take at work for mandatory trainings.

There is an course admin who will provide you with a suggested pacing guide and then send weekly emails about what you should be completing. Then, if you are behind, you'll get an email alerting you to that fact.

Even with a 9 day family vacation, my son was able to finish it. It is Pass/Fail though and won't be an easy GPA boost.
