Any feedback on how your IB diploma candidate do? IB classes selected, major applied to and college acceptances?
We are at an IB school and kind of meh results this year, really disappointed |
Do you think it helped secure better college placement? |

From this week's counseling newsletter at WIS (which is 100% IB Diploma with a graduating class of ~60):
While students in the Class of 2024 are still making decisions, we do have some students who have already decided on their university for next year (some pending their IB results.) The list includes: Barnard College Bocconi University Boston College Bowdoin College Columbia University Columbia/Sciences Po (2) Durham University George Washington University Harvard University (2) Imperial College London McGill University (2) Oberlin College and Conservatory Purdue University Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Stanford University (2) Technological University Dublin Tulane University Universidad de Navarra University of Amsterdam University of British Columbia University of California, Berkeley University of California, Davis University of Chicago (2) University College Dublin University of Michigan University of Pennsylvania University of St. Andrews University of Toronto (2) University of Washington University of Wisconsin-Madison Washington & Lee University Wellesley College William & Mary |
that's a great list, anyone from public schools? |
This list is fake. Wondering why people would make up this stuff and post it. Only thing I can think of is an administrator trying hard to boost failing enrollment, but even then, how effective could this be. |
Huh…? If you check the student matriculation page on ig you can confirm what PP said…. |
I have a kid at WIS. The list isn't fake. And there's hardly "falling enrollment." Everyone wishes there were space to bring in more kids at HS. (Maybe "everyone" is an overstatement, but "most," for sure.) |
