Arlington 2015 boys

Thoughts on Arlington for a top 2015 boy?

The 2015 boy program is one of the strongest in the area. I believe the 2015 Red team won the Jeff Cup this year. Your DS will need to be strong to break into a top Arlington boy team, as they are one of the top program for boys in the area.

I believe they won in the 2nd flight of Jeff cup because they were not accepted in the top flight. It would be expected for them to win, because it is all 2nd teams and some weaker 1st teams.

The Red team might be hard to break into. I believe they are keeping their coach from last year too. But there are lower teams (White, Blue). Those teams are also very good but easier to land a spot.

They're good, but it's more than a stretch to call them "one of the strongest in the area."

ARL Red is a good team but win was in the 2nd bracket so don’t let the Jeff Cup win deter your son from trying out. Always room for strong players.

Where can you find standings/rankings for the teams in the area?

They are starting a new pre academy this year for 2015 with the old Samba Boys coach from SYC.

Is the new pre academy coach well regarded?

HG is a very good coach, if that is who you are asking about.

This is about 9 year olds? Weirdos.

why so angry and insulting? My 9 year old is very driven and passionate about soccer and works incredibly hard at it. Not every kid is the same. i want to find the best program for his development because he cares that much.

Arlington boy teams are always Strong and your son will be with likeminded players who take it seriously even at a young age. You’ll be fine. Ignore the earlier poster.

Won second bracket. Every local team in the top bracket is significantly better. In no particular order, SYC, Loudoun, Bethesda, McLean, and the Baltimore teams (SAC, Coppermine, Pipeline). It's a fine enough team on a fine enough club, but quite the stretch to say one of the strongest in the area.

All that being said, as others have noted, there seems to be change at both Arlington and SYC, and not sure how that will shake out.

If you want a coach who screams and coaches by intimidation - HG is your guy
