Help me self-tan my legs

Anonymous
Haven't used a self tanner in 25 years and imagine there are now better options than the Jergens self tanning moisturizer I used in my 20s. Or maybe there aren't? I don't know. Would appreciate recommendations on brands and how-to. I'm looking to be slightly darker than the current Casper/translucent white of my 50 year old Irish legs! So just tempering the white, not necessarily looking for bronze. Bonus points if I can cover up broken capillaries. I'd like to have less bright white legs for an event on 5/17, so I've got some time to practice. And I'll be wearing long sleeves, so not concerned about making my arms or chest match. Thanks!

I love the tanning mousse from a brand called Bondi Sands (I think). I also purchased the mitt that makes it a breeze to apply. Bought it at CVS.

I've found that St. Tropez mousse has the most natural color (i.e. not orange). Whatever brand you buy, agree that you should also invest in an applicator mitt.

I actually used Jergens recently because there was a travel size tube to try and I was surprised that it looked good! (It also left me crazy itchy for weeks until I used a steroid cream, but that's a me issue. )

Wondering how often you have to reapply it? I'm hoping this will help me look a little better in skirts for the summer.

I like the tanning “milk” from the same brand.
