Volleyball in the fall

What clubs in NOVA are easy to get on for rookies in 8th G?

Any rec team. Go to fall clinics for the clubs that you are interested in trying out for in November. Some clubs have fall developmental leagues. Where do you live?

Looking into Mojo clinics.
Are they recommended?

Club clinics are generally better than rec clinics because the coaches are more experienced. If you plan to eventually join a club, you should definitely attend some of their clinics. However, I see Mojo as a club that milks the McLean families: they charge a lot of money and deliver little in return (both their 13s teams are now ranked 1700-1800 nationally out of 3000 teams). I saw plenty of disappointed Mojo parents during tournaments, where they seem to lose more than they win. Their wins are likely in the bottom brackets, after they lose most of their games in the pools. If you don't care much about the outcome, you have the money, you are not willing to drive to a different club, and you just want some form of physical exercise, Mojo might be the answer.

This is great feedback. Winning isn't what we are after this early in the process. We are just looking to get on a team. Are there other teams willing to take a chance on beginner players who just want to play more volley?

If you have the money and you don't really care about results, they would love to do business with you. Here is a link containing a list of NOVA volleyball clubs that was posted on a different thread:
