Song is dreadful. Anyone else think so? They sound terrible together. |
I like the song and think they sound good together. |
I like it too and they sound great! |
I like the song! |
Sounds good to me. |
Miley's voice has changed so much it's awful. |
It’s a terrible song and they sound terrible together, |
+1 |
It’s good, not great. It has moments of greatness, when Miley is settled down in her impressive lower register, and Beyoncé is soaring above. What stops it from being wonderful is that they are each too much of a show pony for this duet to work.
Think of this same song, but with Tracy Chapman or Karen Carpenter. Pure, rich, rounded, sweet tones. Taking a steady lead while either Beyoncé or Miley hits the runs and does the vocal gymnastics. |
+2 their voices blend together well |
Well the great news is that you don't to ever listen to this song. |
Eh, it’s ok. I actually don’t love the sound of Beyoncé’s voice in songs like this. It seems much more suited to Miley’s smoky rasp. |
I think it’s okay but when B hits the high note saying shotgun — that note doesn’t sound right to me, like it’s too harsh or not in harmony. It seems more like a Miley song than a Beyoncé song.
Also,…is it meant to have a lesbian vibe? Like they are each singing to each other that they will be each other’s shotgun? (Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but it’s a new look for B.). Or is it supposed to be a Thelma and Louise vibe? Doesn’t really affect my view of the song but just curious what they are gojng for here. |
Ugh, two of the worst. |
Love it! |
