Hello,
I am stumped and would like some advice! This is for a collaborative family photo project. I have been tasked with scanning photos and saving as jpg on a USB drive. Unfortunately, I did not realize they needed to be jpg and scanned them as pdf at Staples. When I found out they needed to be jpg, I went to FedEx. They have scanners that scan to jpg, but it is “one image per page” so the photos show up as a portion of the file with a lot of blank space. There is no option to crop the photos at FedEx. I am not sure if the family member I am giving this to has the ability to easily crop the photos. I am at a loss!! Please advise if you have any ideas how/ where I can scan to jpg without needing to crop? I appreciate your help! |
It looks like Adobe has a free tool to do this.

Thank you so much for finding this! The steps look easy enough, from the instructions. I have a Mac so not sure if I would be able to use this? I guess could use a computer at Staples if needed. |

You need to convert using Adobe or similar software. This is not something any operating system has built in. |
OP here— thanks for all the helpful replies!!! |
Imagemagick (free software) can do this. It is a command-line tool, but is very powerful and useful for this type of use case (bulk image conversion). |
You could just do a screen shot and save it as jpeg. You could use the snip tool to crop if needed. Assuming you’re using windows. |
