My kid is about to take their senior year APs. I think it's free to send scores to the university if you make the request before receiving scores.
What I'm wondering is-- if UMD receives a low score (say, a 2) that doesn't provide any UMD credit, will it show up on their UMD transcript for future grad schools/employers to see? |
| No. AP scores are not included on college transcripts. |
| At my son's school, the ones that can be transfer will show as TR (transfer?) and no score, just credit. |
Is it free to send to one designated school or to all schools? |
One designated school, and you have to do it by a certain date on the year you take the exam. (But that free score report that you send has all of your scores to date unless you pay them to take one off.) |
| I just saw a UMD transcript earlier this week that included AP credit. PP’s are correct that scores aren’t included. |
| It goes on your Permanent Record with all the times you chewed gum in elementary school. |
thank you! My DS said she checked something for comp sci principles last year that had "make visible"-does that mean all schools can access her score but only if they look for it? im confused |
Permanent Record with Keanu Reeves was a strong movie |
| AP scores show up on my sons unofficial UMd transcript |
| Most people only send report to school they want to attend ( and pay for it). But they can list in their awards on application that they are an AP Scholar or whatever. |
Which isn’t what would be sent to grad schools or employers. |
| For DC's transcript from Tulane, the AP credit was converted to credits for the classes out of which they tested. For example, the 5 on AP Lit was converted to 3 credits for ENL 1010 or whatever. |
