So she's a terrible coach but she makes the girls feel welcome and the girls are happy to be part of the group... such a horrible person.
How dare she not put pressure on these 6-7 year olds to become professionals and earn those badges. I hear the futsal program had a lot of kids there, so while GFR might keep their best coaches, hard to coach when you don't have kids to coach |
you have never seen her coach if you don't think she is putting pressure on those kids. maybe not PTA, we never did that, but at U9 and U10 she was a monster. |
| Both GD and FA are like this - they have parents who love them and parents that hate them. But, anyone who knows soccer knows they are not great technical coaches and most players do not get better under their coaching. Even after shelling out thousands for private training. If you're going to get yelled at all game you should at least have a good technical coach |
Seems a little overstated/typical sour grapes. If this is what winter looks like why was Westeros so scared of it? |
| Just got the ED announcement! Anyone know anything about her? |
| Juuuuuuust be patient people. The ball just started rolling downhill. |
|
No way someone starts a brand new club but could it be that they're part of a bigger local club just in a different area?
|
so they had a lot of kids from Coach F's 2 age groups? That looks like the only age group that was at capacity. This hardly means that there won't be any kids left at GFR. |
Wow, PA was basically running MYS. Must have got tired of waiting for LW to retire. Shockingly good hire. |
|
Sounds like they got someone with all of the skills KG had (since we all know she was actually running gfr). From the MYS site :
Paula Abbate Finance Director Paula is the Finance Director for McLean Youth Soccer. She joined MYS in mid-2021 as Finance Admin and moved into the role of Finance Manager at the start of 2022 before transitioning to her director role in July 2023. As the Finance Director, Paula is responsible for managing the club’s day-to-day financial activities, the travel program team accounts and performs all HR functions for the club. She has over 10 years of experience in the Washington, D.C. area soccer community, during which she has been a travel club administrator, travel coach and a volunteer SFL coach. Paula has a degree in Government and International Politics from George Mason University and looks forward to her young children playing soccer. |
Even if it was possible, a new club wouldn't be able to fill rosters for boys and girls in each age year and that's a requirement for ECNL or ECNL-RL. |
| Where was the ED announcement? I don't think I got it. |
