One of my most fav characters Izzy Kauffman (Naftali Alter)- the art gallery owner. He is such a warm and likable character. I am happy that they bought him back in the third season. Apparently he is also a composer.

6. I didn’t like how rushami looked at camera when holding baby girl at the end. It broke that wall between us.

7. Odd patriarch seems to want kiva married badly and then does trash every relationship. He insisted his son try to make things work with his new wife and then said they should divorce.

I don't know the answers to most of these but for question six, the way Rushami looked at the camera at the end is actually called breaking the 4th wall so your feeling is spot on. I thought it was to possibly signify the end of the series.

For question 7, I think Shulem does want Akiva married but also fears being alone. I think he would have been happier with the marriage if he didn't find out that Racheli was bipolar.

Not PP but yes, my Netflix is showing 9 episodes. I agree about the darkness of it. Perhaps covid somehow influenced it. Also hoping they will pull up the mood in the fourth season as seemingly all that could go wrong, went wrong in season three so maybe Murphy's Law is satisficed for a while.

Not PP but .. I think it is not entirely the case. I feel that Shulem would like to live with Akiva but that is not driving his actions. It seems that like for many parents, almost no wife prospect is good enough for his son. As far as the last fake wife, he was totally fine with her and supported the choice until he found out that she was bipolar. Apparently he did not want Akiva to marry her because of that.

The dead people reappearing as alive through the whole series, starting from the first scene in dream when Akiva sees hims mom and she is so cold, snowing in the restaurant. Then she comes back so many times, then Alisheva's husbands come and go.. then grandma, and then Akiva's wife...

The dead are treated like they are still alive, blending in with life seamlessly and there is so much simple warm reassurance about the afterlife that
minimizes the pain of the loss.

Very good job there.
