If you're Christian, are you going to church for Easter?

Anonymous
No, my Presbyterian Church is streaming the service, so almost everyone can stay home.

So often we think it’s just trolls like the stupid smily-face poster, and we don’t think they’re worth our time. But OP stood up and said, hey, I’m Jewish and not otherwise a troll, and I’m going to ignore the feckless folk in my own faith and instead single out Catholics and the Pope."

Again, I posted that the Orthodox Jews should be ashamed of themselves if they don't stay home. I apologized for being wrong about the Pope.

My question was derived from the news articles about churches that have remained open. I know they aren't Catholic Churches, but I simply suggested the Pope--as an authority for millions of people--should issue guidance. I'm glad he did.

That's really it.

OK, but google really should have been your friend before you posted. The Catholic Church issued guidance as early as March 20, 2020, about how Easter is to be celebrated.

I've apologized several times. What more do you want?

Obviously you need to be nailed to a cross.

DP. You posted about Orthodox Jews only after somebody else criticized them. And your whiny “why me, what do you want from me” tone isn’t exactly helping. You’d be better off just stepping away from this thread and letting it die, tbh.

You’re talking to several people. I’m DP but I’m not “ok but you should have googled.”

So you can thank FL for keeping us all unsafe. DeSantis must be looking for a cabinet seat in the future. He’s scum.

The denominational churches will follow their church leaders, who have ordered closure; they will not care that DeSantis stupidly said "its OK." For example, the Florida Roman Catholic bishops have ordered no in person gatherings, so Roman Catholic churches in Florida are closed.

Correct. And that pastor in Tampa, he is an outlier-everyone, including other local pastors, think he's nuts. The pastors in the county that he lives in are mortified.

Oh, also I'm going to church on my sofa or possible out on the patio, with my laptop.
