Nice try, but I'm not fat. And I can chime in to any thread I want. The suggestions here are mostly unhealthy and many women chime in just to brag about themselves.

No one answering the question is claiming their answers are healthy. The majority of older woman who stay very skinny are doing it through unhealthy means, no one is hiding that.

Eat more Fats and Carbs. Yes, I'm srs. You are probably the type that starves yourself of carbs and fats. This only makes your body want to hold onto the fats you have. You need to eat the right amount of fat for your body type in order to lose fat. See a nutritionist of figure out your TDEE via google

ITs easier to be skinny when you have other fun things besides food to focus on. So many middle class people have HORRIBLE lives that are mostly driving kids around, bad commutes, crappy jobs, etc. Food is enjoyable and they turn to it.

When you’re rich you have art, travel, decorating a beautiful home, expensive wine, nice clothing, etc. There’s way more to life than just food.

If you are going to troll, you need to be a tad more subtle.

Sorry but it’s the truth. Poor people often have crappy lives. Food is good. So they indulge.

Its more nibbles here and there.

They may have a large salad or smoothies but other than that, a few bites of sandwiches, a nibbling of a cake.

Thats how they eat. They're stomachs have shrunk so they do not have normal appetites anymore.

I didn't used to be that way. I used to have a huge appetite.

Once I got to my 40s, that's how I've become.

I also started working from home around then and I never have anything in the fridge. I don't do big office lunches anymore.

Never did I think I would become one of those kinds of women, but I sometimes 'forget' to eat. I am usually jumping in the car with my kids after school to get to sports practice and getting home after 8pm. I make sure to feed them something healthy and I always think I will eat later with my husband that night, but by 9pm I'm no longer hungry. So most of my calories are morning/early afternoon.

I am thinner now than I was a few decades ago. Luckily, I have a round face and olive skin so I don't look gaunt.

There’s some truth to this. It’s not that they have “horrible” lives, it’s that food is a cheap, accessible way to reduce stress and seek pleasure. More resources provide more free time and good quality food even prepared for you. In addition to the social pressure wealthy women feel, of course.

OP here. This is so incredibly true actually!

We are middle class, have a long commute into DC and do not have enough funds left over for really extravagant entertainment or interests. So our special splurge is FOOD. Restaurants! And fancy gourmet cooked meals at home.

There are entire societies where people are not overweight. Class is not involved. Read up on what the Japanese, Korean, French, Dutch, Swiss etc women do. Lots of ideas!

Skinny, rich women are often hateful and grumpy. They live in a perpetual state of hangry. Is it really worth it to look like a walking clothes hanger?

My DW through a combination of plastic surgery and our ADHD son's Ritalin. Not that hard, really, and she both looks great and gets stuff done!

Not wrong, but replace HORRIBLE with HECTIC. I'd wager that people don't turn to food for pleasure unless we are talking about food addicts like those on my 600 lb life. They just eat too much of the wrong type of food and don't exercise. Also, we eat way more food than what we need and too fast. Low to mid-level restaurants turn over tables quickly to make the most money hence asking what you want to drink before you remove your coat (I hate that!). Also there is this ridiculous notion a meal isn't worth the pricetag unless the portion size is Cheesecake Factory x 10. Nothing wrong with indulging on occasion, but every meal shouldn't be a bottomless buffet.

There's also more time to eat and more money to spend on fine dining. So, there is that.

This is for the most part true. It is unusual in the higher rungs to see a genuinely fat woman, a little plump maybe but rarely anything beyond that. All my friends are reed thin and all work out. i hate working out but do play tennis, genetically I have a thin build but most really work at it.

Honestly its mostly about what you eat, no soda, little coffee, high protein no cheese bread, or junk. No sweets. Lot so salad, chicken, fish, etc....boring? yes but it gets the job done and very much will keep you thin. After a while you get used to it. Like the saying goes, nothing tastes as good as skinny feels
