Husband's Lack of Worry Re: Trump

So what if your husband has different views on politics or Trump?

All of my liberal friends are so obsessive about following every move of the bad boy, Donald J Trump. What are you accomplishing? All it does is make people mad. Yeah yeah, I know it is good to stay informed..blah blah blah.

It's bad enough that he runs the country, but worse if he also controls your emotions.

It is very clear that we all lost due to the actions of idiots who voted for this maniac- and this isn't a color war at camp. It is the steady deconstruction of democracy which will haveva ripple effect around the world, as well as a likely war. So, understanding that there should be a concern is understandable.

Can't stop progress, even if the GOP tries to put up huge road blocks. Eventually progress wins. See, for example, gay marriage. And health ins. In a relatively short amt of time, views on both have changed dramatically.

Who else is he supposed to care about as much as you, his family, and his close friends? Why should he share your exact political beliefs about Trump and the future of our country? Maybe he doesn't feel the need to worry and, unlike you, doesn't spend his time with anxiety about things he can't change instead of focusing on the people closest to him.

Do you talk his ear off about Trump every day? Seriously question? Is there a day you haven't mentioned Trump to him? Could you go a week without getting political and just focus on him, and your family and close friends? If you can't, then it's not him that has a problem.

If you don't stop, he is the one who is going to find you less attractive if you can't stop yammering about Trump and all your fears that you have let effect your relationship with the guy who loved you enough to marry you. I pray he doesn't have to put up with that for 4 more long years.

Very few men want to come home from work and debate politics with their spouse or hear more hysteria about the latest 6 year old who can't come to the US for free surgery. You obviously know very little about men if you think men are interested in hearing about this. Instead they want you to smile, have sex and make them dinner. Sad, but the truth.

Not just men. I'm a woman and I don't want to hear that crap. OP better wake up and smell the coffee. Too many women like me that will look mighty appealing. Never had a problem finding mates. Married many years now.

To all the DC Trump haters here spewing their drivel about our lawfully elected president - You hate his guts not because he wants to stop poor immigrant babies at the airport or deport "dreamers" (aka rapists and drug dealers). You could not care less about them as they are worlds apart from your sheltered lives. You hate him because you feel your comfy way of life is being threatened. You are either fed employees who are paid very nicely (great benefits too) for doing nothing and "telecommute" 3 days a week, or contractors/lobbyists making big $$$. Personally, I hate him because he is a stupid man possessing nuclear weapon launch authority. Besides that, one of his first acts was to ban arrival in the country of (among others) legal US residents born in a few different countries. These are green card holders that the US has already agreed to allow to live here. These are people like the wives of US citizens.

So that weekend the ban was ordered, I think at least a couple different guys went to the airport to pick up their wives, the way I used to, and they were put on planes back instead. Basically, the president and the Dept of Homeland Security decided to, without a good reason, mess with the family of various law abiding US citizens.

Family! Wives, plus one kid at Dulles that weekend.

I hope Trump dies painfully, because he has tried to hurt the families of American citizens who, like myself, married immigrants. If you're amused by DHS cops messing with other people's families at airports, I hope you rot in hell too.

Trump is president though he wouldn't be if the one man one vote rule was in play. What may well trip him up is that a ton of his voters, especially the disenfranchised middle class, will feel some real pain if his budget goes through and Obamacare gets repealed. His budget eliminates a lot of the safety nets that support the disenfranchised. Building a wall and increasing military spending is very appealing to his voters but cuts to Medicaid and virtually all social services could really effect that group.
