A friend/neighbor treated my teenage daughter like a slave when she babysat for them

Where are all these $8-$12/hour teenage babysitters and how do you find them?

Seriously, I would love to find a babysitter for $15/hour and I would not expect any cleaning beyond clean up the dishes.

I live in upper NW DC. We don't have any current teenagers on our block.

To add to this discussion, the neighbor was out of line. So beyond what is reasonable to ask a babysitter to do absent a discussion of additional work for additional pay. And, as noted above, I would be thrilled with paying a responsible 15 year old $12/hour to babysit.

Was the neighbor 80 years old? Paying 2.50 per visit seems like 1968 wages.
