My parents were always gone and didn’t care what I did once I was a teenager and I could basically do what I wanted so that led to me making a lot of bad decisions in high school (drank a lot, got a DUI, smoked and tried drugs, had friendships with unsafe older people, etc) even though I was a great student. I didn’t give his age a second thought and really thought that I was mature but looking back I was very immature even for a 16 year old. I’ve learnt a lot from my mistakes as a teen though and am happily married with kids now.
Ew, what kind of fu**ing loser 30 year old is at a party with HS kids? That should have been the first (and definitely not only) red flag. I'm 35 and if one of my friends told me he was Fing a child I would lose any and all respect for that person.
