So, he didn’t get away with it, he was suspended. No cop or DA on earth would see a light thigh touch as sexual assault, no one would ever be arrested or prosecuted for this. And quite frankly, if my son lightly touched your daughter’s thigh and was already suspended and you came around saying he can’t ever be free again, I’d go after you for harassment. You’re a lunatic to think this kid should be in jail over this. |
And to add, your daughter either has severe mental health issues to get PTSD after a light touch on the thigh OR you two are playing this up in such a way as to be insulting to people who actually have PTSD or were actually sexually assaulted.
Most girls would have hit the kid and told him to F off and gone about their lives. |
DD doesn't want him in jail. Just something more than school punishment. I meant "Free" as in happy and carefree after hurting someone while she's hurt. |
You're setting your DD up for a very hard and sad life if this is your view/approach. Stop playing the victim, get some self-confidence and stop worrying about the other kid |
I really do think you’re a troll at this point. |
NP. I mean this kindly OP but life is going to be a long hard journey for both you and your daughter if you are fixed on stuff like this and calling it an “assault” and demanding more than a suspension for someone touching your daughters thigh for a few seconds. Do you realize that kids don’t get more than a suspension when they actually assault other kids or the teacher? Teach your daughter how to hit back and that she’s allowed to push and hit if someone tries to touch her inappropriately. A light thigh touch for a few seconds is not a matter for the police though. |
She actually doesn't protect herself at all, at least not in any real way. If she did she would have slapped him or his hand away and told him to knock it off and gone about her business. The PP is right, if this is the most shocking and upsetting thing that happens to her she will have lived a charmed life. If she has PTSD from this (where, I will add, the other minor child was appropriately punished) and needs to go out for John Wick vengeance she's not ready for the world. Therapy. |
I'll also add, if shouldn't be the case but someone this mentally fragile is also more likely to be a target of something "worse than this" in the future so you should work with that assumption going forward. |
There is nothing more than school punishment. No one goes to jail for that. A typical teen would be over it 5 minutes after he briefly touched her. She needs mental health care. |
She's a shy person so would not hit anyone. I know their might not be more punishment then this but just a police report would make her feel much better so the cop refusing is a shock and we will need to take action against him for that. |
Against the cop? You’re an idiot. No cop will take this report. I’m frankly surprised the school suspended him, but they did and it should be over. You are opening yourselves for a world of pain if you continue to pursue someone who has already paid for their “crime.” The other kids and parents are going to think you guys are nuts and you’re teetering close to the boy’s parents suing you for harassment. |
If what you are saying is true, OP, now is a great time to apply for a COSA to a school of your choice. |
Refusing someone that got SA'd a police report surely seems like a reason to report a cop to me. Is that even legal? |
Touching on the thigh for a few seconds without intent is not sexual assault. No cop or police department will proceed just because you want it to. You are crazy. Get help. |
He already got punishment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
