Trump is just a primitive organism that reacts to stimulus, like a jellyfish. |
That seems to be his whole life plan. |
Uh, he does, that's why he needs them gone. Dismantling checks and balances and oversight of criminal activity. We literally elected a felon -- he's obviously in favor of crime. |
Have the MAGAs gotten their marching orders on how to respond to this? What sacred text is coming from on high? |
Not sacred texts exactly but close: the project 25 playbook. Trump’s Early Actions Mirror Project 2025, the Blueprint He Once Dismissed https://time.com/7209901/donald-trump-executive-actions-project-2025/ |
If your lazy, lying MAGA ass bothered to read the article, you would find that most of those dismissed were appointed by Trump himself. “Most of those dismissed were Trump appointees from his first term, which stunned the watchdog community.” |
I don’t. |
MAGA may be gone in a few years, or in 30 years after a ruling as an autocracy.
But make no mistake, the stain of it will never wash off the people who participated and their children. I know, I've seen it before. |
|
The frightening thing for me has been the dawning realization that a certain percent of the population has always had MAGA-type ideas: isolationism; an attitude of as long as I get mine, I don't care about anyone else; fear and/or hatred of the "other," particularly non-hetero people; discomfort with the growing number of non-white Americans; discomfort with the rise in economic and social power of women and what they perceive as the corresponding loss of that power in men; feelings of victimization; and so on and so forth. |
No surprise. He relishes firing people for some strange reason. He never sees all of his firing as an indicator of his supposedly poor judgment in hiring in the first place. |
TIL, government employees can't be fired. |
Not for political reasons. That's the point. This is the dismantling of a non-political civil service ethic. We'll end up with bribery and clientelism. Which, apparently, a lot of people don't even know is a problem, but if you've studied any measure of political science, you'll understand why this is a problem. |
The IG is non-political? On paper only. |
Stop shouting your ignorance. Some IGs were appointed by tRump? The firing was illegal according to a law passed in 2022 https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/white-house/trump-fires-multiple-inspectors-general-legally-murky-overnight-move-rcna189261 |
