But, the good news is that Michelle has released a self help workbook to help all of us process the damaged she and her husband did to this country with their hate, the divisiveness is obvious. Sixteen years of hate, I am so beyond happy to see them fade into oblivion in their ocean front estates with their clueless celebrity friends. Not a fan of Trump, but the option for a better alternative was not there, not in that blithering drunk Kamala, not a chance I wanted her to be my first woman President. While I'm talking about Kamal, Doug needs to get the camera away from her face and hands, I understand she needs to drink the pain away, have at it. However, she does not have to expose an already exhausted country to her alcoholic talk therapy. |
I do too. And it's not that Trump is or is going to have a perfect presidency - far from it - but there is a reason he was spared and the country was given another chance. |
Reminder: Obama endorsed Hillary over Biden after Biden being his veep for four years. |
Just stop. Kamala ran an unbelievable campaign. It needed to be her so that she could use Biden’s funds and it made the most sense since she was already on the ticket and people were already voting for her to be VP of the oldest potus ever, meaning they knew it was likely she would become potus during that term.
The fact that she only had 100 days and the odds were already against her since so many people were already opposed to her because of how she got the nomination. Especially as a woman of color, it is impressive that this race was so close. Imagine if she had been able to go through the primary process and run a full campaign. She would have wiped the floor with Trump. I have a deep admiration and appreciation for Biden, and he has been a great president. However, I really wish he had stuck to his word about being a one term president. He put the democratic party in a really impossible spot. After seeing him in the debate, it was clear that letting him run was irresponsible and dangerous. Unlike the Rs, at least the Ds had the cahoonas to get him out when they realized he was unfit to serve another term. I believe that Obama and Pelosi probably didn’t approve of the process of how she ended up on the ticket, but I don’t have any reason to believe that it was personal against her. |
All I can say is, if you really believe what you have written here, you are so far into the kool-ade that there is little hope you will ever see reality. And unfortunately, I'm afraid that you are very typical of most Democrats. It's a real shame, because we need a loyal opposition party - but one that has a handle on reality and can recognize their own serious flaws and work to improve. She ran an "unbelievable" campaign all right - an unbelievable disaster. One that started with a $1 billion budget and ended up $20 million in the hole, in just 107 days. Drunken sailors couldn't waste money that fast. This race was not "so close." She lost all 7 battleground states. What part of that do you not recognize? And get through the primary process and run a full campaign? She tried that in 2019/ 2020 and dropped out before the first primary vote was cast, because she was so unpopular. |
That’s why I don’t donate. Enriches the “consultants.” How else does over $1 billion get spent on a short campaign with many volunteers. |
She is just a nothing politician lacking in substance.
This article from her campaign is so indicting. They talk about her like she is literally an empty suit. A puppet to be manipulated. No core convictions. No imagination. No impetus. No wonder she lost badly. https://www.huffpost.com/entry/kamala-harris-campaign-polls_n_67462013e4b0fffc5a469baf#comments |
Most rational people could see all of this just by observing Harris over the last 4 years, and watching her stumble through her feckless campaign. Only the hard-core Democrat loyalists deluded themselves into thinking she was/is anything else. |
Seriously? ![]() Where do you get your drugs?! |
FDR was an AWFUL president! AYFKM? You’re comparing Obama to a guy who incarcerated hundreds of thousands of US citizens of Japanese ancestry, causing them to lose all their wealth and property and become destitute after the war? A guy who knew about the Tuskegee experiments infecting black men with syphilis and then not treating them? The guy whose TVA program stole the farms and lands from thousands of Appalachian farm families with no compensation in order to build hydroelectric dams for his business cronies? The guy who refused the SS St Louis permission to dock in the US with its cargo of Jewish refugees fleeing the holocaust- many of who were eventually returned to Europe where they were then executed? I believe in Hell. And I believe FDR is there, right now, being tortured for all eternity. Deservedly so. Obama sucks, yes. He’s an arrogant conceited empty suit. But he no where near the malevolent evil that was FDR. |
Ok, but WHY is Obama even in the position of having that much influence at all? This is the issue. He’s not a king. Or the party boss. Or shadowy godfather figure. The guy needs to find a hobby and GO AWAY. |
Right, because they never did anything on their own. And if you are also married to a politician you pick up the political skills as well. |
It bothers me that she said "nothing comes to mind" when asked if she would do things differently than Biden. "Nothing comes to mind" makes a person sound like there is nothing in their mind--in a job interview you would never want to say it in answer to a question. If you didn't have an answer you would deflect.
It COULD have been an opportunity to focus on accomplishments of the Biden administration--maybe infrastructure funding that has gone to a red state that has started a highway project. Maybe the US -China trade deficit having gone to the lowest since 2010. Maybe to the work with Mexico to reduce arrivals at the border. And she could have articulated a focus on how she wanted to approach Ukraine or Gaza in a way that would not undermine her current boss but still carve out something unique to her. Certainly she would have known the question would be asked. Obama did worry after the 2016 election that it showed backlash, and I suspect if he didn't want her as a candidate it was because that backlash hadn't gone away. It's kinda too bad she didn't stay in the Senate, I think she could have become a prominent Senator. |
She crushed and humiliated Trump in the debate. She ran a great campaign but her campaign themes and messages were ignored while the anti trans and anti immigrant disinformation about her was amplified everywhere online and in the media. Trump was by far the most idiotic major party nominee in history but no one cared. Harris lost because this is an ignorant country full of people who are so invested in myths and stereotypes and imaginary grievances that they are incapable of rational thought. |
Wait, I thought there was "joy" throughout Obamaland? |
