This. And this post should really be moved to the health forum because it is more about anxiety. I have a teen member of the family who had a hard time getting out of bed yesterday because of the anxiety of the thought about the grim future of the country if Harris wins. It’s mental health. Yes, it’s my kid with anxiety issues.

OP, it’s okay to eat your kids Halloween candy every year.

LOL.

It is funny that a term conned its mother into thinking it has anxiety. Just another term excuse when they don’t want to do something as simple as getting out of bed. No wonder the world laughs ate the dependence of the US on drugs to function.

The mom here. Once again, I invite all of you to hop over to the health forum or even the special needs forum to discuss living and dealing with family members with debilitating anxiety. Really, it’s more about that than a discussion on politics.

Put the teen in the Army and cut the apron strings.

What an idiotic statement. Know nothing, fear nothing.

DP. When roughly 75% of my 4 kids’ friends ages 19-30 have been on anxiety medication since they were 12-14 years old, it’s time to wonder what the problem actually is.

Small and biased sample. Either way, the odds of being diagnosed and treated for anxiety (or any mental health disorder) is significantly higher than in the past. Greater mental health awareness, more medication options, less social stigma. Prevalence of anxiety may or may not have actually changed.

Maybe you need to double the dose again.

I get a chuckle out of these people saying life will go on as usual if Trump wins. We will be led by a gaggle of lunatics if that happens. Is there a single normal person in his orbit? That’s a rhetorical question.

The looks and behavior of those orangehead supporters on DC metro around '17 inauguration day was one of the lowest days in all years of riding metro.

I wish I could find a news source or some analysis somewhere that could give a measured perspective on what checks and balances will be available to someone who has broken ties and parted on bad terms with all the non-election deniers that worked for him. Like fine, the person you may want can’t win every time but I think people are less upset about the side he’s on and more concerned that all the people who may say, “No, sir we can’t shoot unarmed protesters today” are gone and he’s just surrounded by unconditional followers. That’s what got me through in 2016 but that’s gone now. So that’s my main anxiety. Any resources?

JFC. Of course it should be causing every woman - and person who cares about women - anxiety.

No. I believe that there are more Republicans who care more about country than supporting their party's mentally impaired and morally corrupt candidate. I expect Harris to win by a good man margin.

I think some of you are going to be absolutely shocked and then crushed tomorrow night.

You will also realize (maybe) how much you've been lied to by the media.

This is such made up crap. What are you talking about. The media has been subtly pushing a Trump inevitability angle for the last couple weeks. All of a sudden we get one gold standard unherded poll and we're being 'lied to by the media' for taking it seriously?

I agree, we HAVE been lied to by the media. Because of the infiltration of betting markets into the US election system. I think gambling on election outcomes should be illegal in our country after this.

I don't know a SINGLE DEMOCRAT who feels calm or confident. We're nervous AF. I may be shocked and crushed, but not lied to by the media. The 'media' has done a plenty good job stoking the fires of my existential panic attack for the last few months.
