Good to see IOC rushing forward even when the legal challenges are ongoing.

It makes their decision to revoke the medal even stupider in the first place. What happens if the US wins their appeal with the upper courts? Are they going to demand Ana give her medal back too? Just issue them both medals and be done with it!

The execution score is subjective, by definition. As to the difficulty scores, while most skills can be assessed objectively, leap/dance skills like the one in question in Jordan's routine are more open to subjective interpretation, especially when they are reviewed by the judges in real-time. That's why I find it annoying that people are claiming that the original judges missed one of her skills as if it was some egregious error. They didn't exactly miss her skill; they determined that she didn't meet the requirements. The Superior Jury disagreed and gave her credit, perhaps after reviewing the video. That is not proof of bias, incompetence, or any other major error on the part of the original judges.

The skill in question was something in Jordan’s routine that she almost never got credit for because she didn’t rotate all the way around in her leap. The judges didn’t give it to her in qualifications, or team finals either. One might argue they grew so used to not giving it to her they just automatically assumed she didn’t complete it rather than paying attention to what was actually happening in front of their eyes.I don’t think its egregious but I do find it annoying.

After the election, I'd like to see Biden both launch a DoJ investigation into CAS for corruption and the bar everyone involved including the Romanian gymnasts and coaches from entry. Let them have a time out to enjoy their bronze in 2028

I would be doing neither. But the winner doesn’t have to be the “bigger person”. It takes nothing to thank your opponent that you just beat. We look to the runner up to accept defeat graciously and keep smiling. That’s much harder. Will Chiles do that?

Actually this is exactly what happened when Andrade beat Simone and Suni. The news was all about them (Simone and Suni) congratulating her, not the other way around and how wonderful that is.
