Republicans are over-confident right now.

How does a dementia patient get elected and serve as president of the united states? Democrats have perpetrated a gigantic scam on America and besides being wrong to do, it’s a national security threat. The only thing Biden is capable of now is reading a teleprompter. That’s it.

"The only thing Biden is capable of now is reading a teleprompter. That’s it."
Well no he wasn't even able to do that at the debate he was asked about abortion and talked about terrorists was asked about illegals and talked about terrorists. So he was not even able to read off the teleprompter anymore.

Every public speaker uses a teleprompter. This is the dumbest criticism ever and yet it’s persisted through multiple elections. So dumb.

The projection in your post is beyond amusing.

Agreed. And ANY post that says that Biden is too ill to be president that person is immediately deemed a super Trump fan. Does this sounds normal or like a normal thought process?

The arrogance from the left never ceases to amaze me.

I am hardly the left. But I am incensed about placing blame on the Democrats. We are in this mess because the Rs didn’t have the courage to put forth a decent candidate. This is the third time Trump is running. Seriously? and you blame the left?

+1 No one is demanding Trump drop out despite him only barely winning in 2016 and then losing decisively (but trying to overthrow the government) in 2020. I don’t need to put the whole list of why he should drop out, but he should and instead the GOP is obsessing over the Democratic Party.

Parties need to operate for themselves. Democrats are spending too much time hoping Trump will be gone (he won't), saying Trump is awful (yes, he is) instead of changing what they can control, which is putting the best candidate forward. Should GOP do this too? Absolutely, but as someone who never voted for a GOP candidate I am looking at my camp to do the best it can instead of trying to say it's the other guy's fault and hoping that solves anything.

+1 As a lifelong Dem, I find it refreshing that Dems are upset about Biden and are speaking out about the need for a massive change to the party, instead of accepting the status quo. I really don't care about the Republican party.

Maybe you'll care about them when you have to submit to their will as part of a dictatorship.

I think it is, once again, projection. Remember when Trump went stone silent for thirty seconds at one of his campaign speeches this spring? Now that is someone who can’t speak (coherently, anyway) without a teleprompter. He can speak extemporaneously without one, but it’s going to be a string of nonsense.

That’s right. They’re given ballots and black jobs. Next they’ll be moving into your home.

Black jobs is such a racist thing to say, more less repeat.

Liberals are repeating it. Democrats are screaming to the country Trump is racist for saying Biden's illegal immigrants are taking black jobs.

Very stable genius..

Are you not saying Democrats should submit to your will? If you want people to make a decent choice, give them a decent choice. It's actually not complicated. And yes, Biden was a decent choice. He is not anymore.

If the Democrats decide to switch candidates, so be it. I will vote for whichever candidate they put forward. It's above my pay grade. Where did you get the impression I wanted Biden?

BS. Joe Biden has been and continues to be a remarkable President. And this debate will have ZERO effect on the election.

Laughable clip. He is simply trying to salvage the reputation of his prediction methodology but unfortunately for him, it doesn’t account for wild swings like this past debate. This isn’t about the performance of one debate, it’s about the revelation that the candidate was incompetent to run again. His system can’t account for that and he is floundering from it.

We’ll see in November.

You know Lichtman hasn’t announced who he thinks will win, right?

Yes he did, he said biden on usatoday.

K

Are you insane? We should be seriously worried if Biden is even fit enough to make it to November, never mind the election. I am so angry that I voted for him. I want to know who If anyone knew about this four years ago.

Are you seriously now just learning that you have been lied to? How is this even possible?

Put in the right context and yeah, it does. We know that the GOP’s actual agenda via Project 2025 is to end democracy, and that’s apart from Trump’s stated agenda of revenge. Then put what the actual event was - Biden not sparkling one evening - into the context of Trump lying and not answering debate questions at all, and insulting Black people and admitting to working with Putin and you got yourself another blown out of proportion event that you guys are treating like Biden crapped his pants, smeared it on the flag and mooned the cameras while gibbering in nonsense.

More context: Republicans love posing as not Republicans. Moderates, independents, “moderate dems,” “as a Black gay Republican”… so you can see why people decide that. It’s not nearly as illogical as you want to pretend it is.

Then pull the figurative camera further back and watch the way the corporate owned, GOP loving media does this all the time and realize that, yeah, sorry. It’s support Biden, who was back on his a game the next day, or we get fascism. Or maybe Christian nationalism, the exact flavor of authoritarianism is TBD.

Repeating something doesn't mean agreeing with it. Are people just supposed to forget every horrible thing Trump says and move on?

They have no platform. They can’t even get legislation passed in the house despite having a majority.

Why are you conflating party platforms before the convention and legislation?!

No, he didn’t. He said Democrats would be making a mistake to drop Biden but he still has not released his prediction for this election. Here’s USA Today - note the last line: https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/elections/2024/06/30/lichtman-dems-replace-biden/74260967007/
