Celebrities who can't act

Luckiest guy in showbiz.

I don’t think it’s fair to criticize comedians for an inability to act. Ditto for Jerry Seinfeld. Neither him nor Sandler would tell you they think they are actors.

?

Seinfeld has admitted he’s not an actor. He’s a comedian—known as one of the best.

Sandler on the other hand used comedy to get on SNL, but he fully intended to become an actor. Instead of staying in his lane (making silly movies), he sought out dramatic roles. He absolutely fancies himself an actor.

He is an actor…albeit a very, very bad one. And he’s considered an A list actor.

Be nice - poor guy has a pretty serious condition right now. He’s quite good in the roles he was given. My personal fave is The Whole Nine Yards with Matthew Perry, Amanda Peet and Michael Clarke Duncan. Honorable mention for his guest role on Friends.

Didn’t say anything mean. Sorry about his illness but he pretty much played same guy most of the time.

When she said that her Devil Wears Prada character took no effort to play because she was basically playing herself, I was like, "Okay I'm done with you."

She also sent Sandra Bullock some dead flowers after Bullock won an Oscar or Golden Globe, so yeah. Apparently she's not an actress, just the Devil in Prada/Chanel.

You're wrong. She was Method Acting in that movie and stayed in character despite being miserable doing so.

"Meryl previously admitted she was "so depressed" during filming because she adopted an acting style which meant she kept an icy relationship with her co-stars Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt, and afterwards she vowed never to go "Method" again.

She told Entertainment Weekly: "It was horrible! I was [miserable] in my trailer. I could hear them all rocking and laughing. I was so depressed! I said: 'Well, it's the price you pay for being boss!' That's the last time I ever attempted a Method thing!"

Blunt concurred in an interview with The Independent newspaper, saying: "Do you know she’s never done Method acting since? She said it made her so miserable on this one, because we were all having a party on the other side of the set. And she was like: ‘I won’t do this again'."

Guys, Meryl Streep's harassed 20-year old PA found this thread and forgot to take her meds.

Lol. She's just okay, and I feel like she gets more star power than she has actually earned. Helen Mirren and Cate Blanchett out-class her by miles.

Adam Sandler had a couple good comedy movies-Wedding Singer and 50 First dates, plus Big Daddy.

I saw 2 of his dramatic movies, and wanted my money back.

I heard the one with Tea Leonie was decent, but I haven’t taken the time to watch it

Don't hate me guys, but Paul Bettany is so annoying and un-talented. He has no charm, no range, and honestly his best performance IMO was playing a disembodied robot voice in most of the Avengers movies. That was better than when he became Vision.

He was the worst performance in A Knight's Tale too, and that's generally an adorable movie.

I normally wouldn't say anything mean, but then he did laugh at Depp's texts about burning/r*ping Heard's corpse so whatever man, I'm not going to spare your feelings. Paul Bettany is a really low-rent actor and shouldn't get top billing on big budget movies.

When I watch them I always think about how her part could have been differently cast. Now her daughter is getting into the business.

Yes! She’s awful. The worst “performance” was in Green Card. It was downright laughable.

I really believe he’s the offspring of Scott Disick!

Anonymous wrote:Emma Watson as in Hermione? She has no looks to speak of, not a nepo baby afaik, and started too young to have traded favors. There must be some other factor

She lucked into the Hermione role, which propelled her to stardom despite no acting ability.

And Rupert Grint is amazing? He lucked out too!
