You can debate the value proposition of VRSC but they have fields and the real driver of sporting success at FCV. FCV has no fields or real coaches. It may take a few years but the writing is on the wall.

Given VRSC is newer and is scraping players from lower Loudoun teams to get by, I'd argue the only real value in VRSC is their property/land at the moment. Give it 10 years from now, and that might be different.

VRSC just hired the TD from FCV?!

Not the case but okay. They have some building to do but that is a false claim we know a lot of people that went to VRSC for the training and development (boys side) that were solid players. I do not know anything about the girls side but the boys especially the older teams are very competitive.

Hiring someone doesn't mean a club is instantly leagues above where they currently are. It takes a large amount of time to build a strong program.

Agreed but one cannot say that the only value is in the fields. What value does FCV offer then? No fields and no TD. Is it the badge?

FCV has a solid girls program. One could ask the same question, what does VRSC offer? A good facility...?

Boys u15-u19, they only have 2 teams in first div EDP…1 is winless. That’s not good. Their u19 looks to be the best, but they’re basically done at this point.

I guess "very competitive" is subjective but still...

2/7 Virginia Revolution SC VRSC 09B Black (VA) 4-0-4
4/6 Virginia Revolution SC VRSC 08B Black (VA) 5-4-1
10/10 Virginia Revolution SC VRSC 07B Black (VA) 0-6-2
6/13 Virginia Revolution SC VRSC U19B Black (VA) 3-5-2

Yes. A good facility and they just hired the TD who built the solid girls program at FCV. So what does that leave FCV with? No fields and no TD.

The big fat question is where will FCV practice and play next season?

i don't understand where this "no fields" angle is coming from. they've had plenty of space from loudoun and have rented as needed at revolution because revolution needs the income.

Well that arrangement is over next season. Hence the “no fields” angle.

Says who? Every year they're reportedly getting kicked out and every year they don't. Why would revolution pass up that revenue stream? They aren't any bigger this year than last year.

Just enjoy your practices in Springfield and Annandale. If you don’t know then you aren’t in the know. Why would revolution hire the TD from FCV? Only those in the know know.

They practice at more than just Revolution... lol

So they lose access to a handful of fields. They'll just rent more from Loudoun or a private facility. It's not a huge deal. It's likely actually still cheaper than the property taxes to own their own and trickling that down to their player fees

This board loves spreading FUD
