You can also get many of these vintage candies at various stores in person right here in the DMV, folks! Rocket Fizz in Alexandria VA: https://rocketfizzalexandr.wixsite.com/website Tons of candies mentioned on this thread, plus a lot of strange sodas from all over the place. Hollin Hall Variety Store on Fort Hunt Road in the Mount Vernon area of Alexandria: https://www.facebook.com/HollinHallVarietyStore/ This "has some of EVERYthing" old-school store has one aisle with pick-and-mix candy including a lot of the classics mentioned. It's a LOT more fun to go pick out these kinds of candies in person than ordering them online, though of course it's great to have online options too. But if you want to give Amazon a rest and have fun seeing other candies you might have forgotten about, or sodas from the past, these are just two options. Bet there's probably a place similar to Rocket Fizz else wher ein the region somewhere. |
