Spotify dropped Harry and Markle

Markle's next career move is to divorce this dork and find a richer old man to marry her. Sanchez playbook.

Harry’s wealth is dwindling.

I liked the docuseries. The book was too much sharing. Her podcast was too complaining. i think more cute docuseries and films on projects they like or the environment. Move on from complaining about family. They have kids and will hopefully stay together. If they divorced he would be welcomed back and she would not fare well. She is smart and will not let that happen.

Once he decide he's done, she can't force him to stay. He seems like a ticking time bomb ready to self destruct. Leaving her would hardly be surprising at this point.

I doubt they'll divorce, growing apart is possible but they'll share housing for children and a united public front for media and business reasons.

He'll never leave the kids. Never, ever.

Why would he leave them? He'll get his 50/50 like everyone else.

No one wants to hear someone whine and complain for long, even if the complaints are founded in truth. It's tiresome. Even when someone is truly suffering from a severe loss or illness, people want to hear about courage and determination in the face of hardship. Certainly not whining from a privileged, attractive, healthy couple who had a royal wedding and now living in a 14 million dollar home with 2 beautiful children. Count your blessings!

Yes. Noone begrudged them leaving the BRF and striking out on their own. The problem was the obvious greed and what they chose to monetize.

I think what we're seeing is that ALL the royals are talentless bores outside of their concocted royal role. All of them have literally nothing worthwhile about them, outside of their title.

Megan should have stayed in her own career, which had a modicum of potential.

Can't reach that judgement based on her actions over the last several years.

Gently laughing that Bill Simmons is just the Spotify guy on this board - he’s huuuge in sports media. Created 30 for 30, had a wildly popular ESPN column, 2 NYT best selling books, created Grantland and The Ringer, top 10 podcast.

+1 I knew all of this but the only thing I didn’t know was that apparently he’s an exec at Spotify as well. I’m not on Spotify and I don’t listen to his own podcast but The Rewatchables, 60 Songs That Explain the 90s, The Watch and The Prestige TV Podcast are all excellent. And the 30 for 30s are so good you can watch one about something you never even gave a damn about and it’s still fascinating. I’m bummed because I’m still rooting for H&M but at the same time I like Simmons and usually respect his opinions. Huh.

+1 There's only so much whining about perceived slights that the public wants to hear about from the .0001%.

They do need to watch the spending because they're hemorrhaging money. They have to have amassed at least $40M by now (inheritance + earnings), and there's just no excuse for not being able to live off that.

They're spending it as fast as they're making it. If you think they're sitting on a $40M nest egg, you're deluded. That's why all their strategic moves reek of desperation. They spend at a much faster rate than they earn and their future earning potential diminishes every day.

To clarify, I'm guessing that at some point they amassed $40M+ even if it's gone now. My point was that there's no excuse for blowing through that. They wouldn't need round the clock heavy security if they would just sit down and shut up and live like regular $40M trust fund babies. I agree with the rest of your post.

I love looking at architecture and think that their home in California is beautiful (and idyllic for little kids), but it’s a lot, a lot of house (something like 12+ bathrooms) and a $14 price tag. I bet the upkeep costs are tremendous. They probably would have been wiser to start smaller and upgrade. I do understand why they would need someplace secure from crazies though.

They did this to themselves. If they just quietly remained lesser members of the BRF, then they'd have it made. Even if they couldn't stop their jealous pettiness and left, they could have used his inheritance and whatever savings she had and quietly had a fabulous life that's so far above what most people in the world could every have. A gate would have been sufficient. But they went on the Worldwide Privacy Tour and now they feel scared and entitled to a level of security far beyond their station.

Even now, can't they just shut up and see how that goes? How many intruders does their $$$ security team have to thwart each week?

This. I would have just lived in Frogmore and had Harry become a military helicopter pilot instructor (he was offered this according to his book.) Take the military route rather than the “full time royal” route like Andrew (pre scandal.) They could have even moved near a military base away from London if they wanted. Keep their security and their invite to major events. Sounds easy enough to me.

I agree with PP. If a split happens in the future it will not be initiated by Harry. I also think that of the two he is much more willing to go without the trappings of wealth, royalty, and fame if need be.

Which is why most of them have enough sense to stay in their lanes.

Harry will never go without. If they separate he will get back all the privileges of his royal position if he chooses.
