Fine. Yes, that’s the natural order of things. The “gig serfs”, as you call them, should’ve applied themselves and done better in school. Then they could’ve made something of themselves beyond carrying food to more successful people. Too bad so sad. It’s on them. The problem is so many people like you take a simpleton’s view of it and place the blame on anyone but those people themselves. That mentality is exactly how trump got elected. He told millions of stupid people they weren’t to blame for their problems, and those morons believed it and voted accordingly. And you’re basically saying the same thing trump said. I guess you told us a little more about yourself than you realized you were, hmmm?

I have a theory that the folks in these threads who are so quick to shut down anyone sharing precautions or concern for themselves or others (to varying degrees, with varying implications - can't read their minds) are themselves actually the most anxious.
Perhaps they truly don't feel affected by the circumstances right now (I do not, but I recognize what I perceive and what might be happening to me are two different things, and that others are affected in different ways and that this is so far an exceptional event). It seems they cannot accept their relative fortune without rejecting others have different experiences or that the science might actually explain a different story they might come to understand later, or never at all, about the true effect... thereby undermining their confidence and desire to have a normal day. And they project the angst about this on to everyone else (who may or may not also being feeling angst, at varying levels) as they reject them. |

Well... yeah and no. I agree with your frustration though. I have a partner in the administration, they're trying to do something... that, if it went as advertised would be like an 80% effort... far more than ever before. But yes, it ain't gonna get done that well. AND "80%" isn't enough. It's a damn shame. My three year old knew what this was without us talking about it. On the way to school this morning, "why is it so smokey?" The world is burning, son. |

| Moved my weightlifting and HIIT workouts indoors but took the dog for regular, but slower, walks outside. Still sat outside for some of my WFH tasks. Not noticing anything too much other than the ugly sky color. It’s supposed to pass before the weekend so I can lay low for the next day or two. |

LOL, those of us who live in wildfire states are laughing so hard at you all. We deal with this every year or so and guess what, most of us don’t have central AC due to our cooler climate and have dealt with it.
Just stay indoors, it’s not that difficult. |

+1 I really don't understand why people are implying that because some people have to work outside, others should think going outside is nbd. I feel awful for those constructions people mentioned earlier. And I think that the door dash users are a little bit heartless unless they have lung conditions or something. |
