Be Barnard and proud instead of trying to be a Columbia backdoor.

My kid is going to become a consultant. Did he dream about it? No. But he did have a very good experience interning for a top firm and subsequently was offered a permanent position upon graduation. Will he do it forever? Probably not. Will it open many doors? Definitely.

Awesome.
My kid is a freshman with business analytics major at ND.
I heard many kids got offers like 80K-90K starting salary with signing bonus and relocation reimbursement.
Hoping for a similar outcome for my kid.

Yes good luck to your kid and Go Irish. My kid was offered on the low end of that range, but it's fine. Not bad for the first job out of college.

Anonymous wrote:+1 I read that nauseating NY piece, too.

I hate what this area has become. Students aspiring to be MBB consultants instead of nonprofit workers. FinTech instead of medicine. BigLaw instead of ADAs or DoJ. I’m not even that old but I feel angry and resentful, missing the more innocent days of the nineties.

You're kidding, right? Way too many people want to work in nonprofits. Someone has to generate money in our society.
