Travel Fee Increase

Travel fees seem to be out of control this year. How much has your club's fees increased from last year to this year?

The price of everything has gone up. Been to a restaurant lately?

Redicuooluseness!!! We just went to Italy, if a meal was 20Euros, the ball was 20Euros... not tax and no tip! And by a large, it was about 40% les expensive in italy in the grocery stores and eating out. Also, a professional sold out soccer march in Florence was only $100. No ticketmaster fees!

Prepare for the fee hikes!

Well, considering that the US has probably twice the income per person and half as much unemployment as Italy, I’d expect stuff to be less expensive there.

I think VDA went up by $300

Valor should be giving money back to players for not meeting their own promises not increasing prices.

That should be for every club not just Valor.

Plus the big jump in team fees, which were mostly covered in the club fee before.

Valor does not deliver on the dues we pay. We get no winter program, practices are not consistent, coaches miss games and practices, some of the teams have zero games in the spring season and so on. Valor is not fulfilling their end of the contract. Other teams appear to be following through with their promises/contracts.

Would be more if VDA wasn't also funded by PWSI and VSA which also have big increases.

The tax is included in the price in Europe so there is tax, it’s just not on top of the sticker price.

In this area if you don't pay the fee another family will happily take your place.

We were told ECNL almost tripled the card fee for players and coaches and added a new requirement for coaches that the clubs have to pay for too. Tournaments have gone up, referees and other leagues are probably going up and probably maintenance of fields, and I assume coaches and staff get raises like everyone else. Our club went up about $300 which is $30 a month for ten months. I can’t complain. Gas and food and everything else are up too. I don’t like what anything costs these days! They did extend the payment option to try to help people with costs.
