What kind of therapy for OCD/ tics and ADHD?

The title of this post makes it all sound very awful. DC is largely functional, but lately his mild tics and some of his ocd tendencies are bothering him and i am really encouraging him to get therapy which he is open to (huge!). I'm curious what kind of therapy people have had success with in these areas? Fun fact, my mother ALSO has ocd and we are also trying to get her therapy - so responses doubly helpful

You’re looking for behavioral therapy. Specifically exposure and response prevention (ERP) for OCD. My DD is getting ready to start treatment for tics at Behavior Therapy Center in Silver Spring. I’m not sure if that is also ERP or a different form of behavior therapy.

We saw maybe a neurologist at Childrens in the Merrifield location. They have an online course for tic management. But given the family history of ocd, they may suggest something else.

I’d start with neurology to rule out medical causes.
