Bermuda for 10 year anniversary

Anonymous
We'd like to get away for 3 nights, 4 days for our 10 year anniversary next September. We'd love to go to an island and just relax. Does Bermuda sound like a good option? Any recommended resorts, restaurants, activities?

We went last summer and stayed at the St Regis. It was lovely - quiet and away from the main areas

I love Bermuda. Cambridge Beaches is fantastic and the best resort for couples IMO. I didn't like the Rosewood and the Loren was good but crowded with NYers and the pool was too small. I have not stayed at the Regis as I heard the layout was terrible and I don't love giant box hotels on the beach. Prefer cottages. At Cambridge, ask for the Westerly Suite (there are three - all are fantastic) or Longtail One BR OR get one of the standalone cottages with private pool (I like Bay Grapes). Not all rooms are equal there so call and get them to reserve the best for you.

Cambridge is also close to Dockyards with restaurants and shopping. For casual food, go to Woody's for amazing fish sandwiches (national dish). For fancy, I'd go to Huckleberry in Hamilton for an awesome meal. Ask to sit on the patio. If you go in the summer, there are festival nights on Wednesdays and the whole main strip is closed down with music, food and vendors.

I could go on and on....

We liked Pompano Beach Club.

Recommend Grand Cayman over Bermuda even for a short trip.

GREAT choice for an anniversary trip. Relaxed, gorgeous, and beautiful.

We're going for three nights at the end of the month for our ten year anniversary, but with our kids. We're staying at pompano. The whole trip was booked pretty spontaneously using the American airlines reward fare sale so we didn't have lots of lodging options but upon further research I'm thinking we might have ended up at Pompano Beach anyway.

I wasn’t a huge fan of Bermuda. It’s nice, but there are much nicer beaches. The flight is convenient though.

I think it is perfect for a 3 night trip if you can get nonstop flights. The benefit of the St Regis is that it is close to Horsehoe Bay which has great snorkeling.

Daytime temps should be in the 70s. DH and I are avid beach goers and not put off by water temps in the high 60s (that's warm by my New England standards), so while I know it won't be hot we're still looking forward to this as an easy spring beach trip.

Pp replying to myself here. We're leaving tomorrow and had such a fantastic time, despite experiencing a cold snap for the duration of our long weekend. We went in the ocean every day, saw incredible fish, and our kids declared this paradise (they've also been to other islands). The color of the water and the limestone topography took my breath away every morning.

We had dinner at Breezes at Cambridge Beaches and it was fantastic.

Be aware September is the heigh of hurricane season. Book refundable hotel rooms and if possible flights. Just because there is a hurricane doesn’t mean they necessarily give you your money back.
