I had tried getting an appointment with him and no one picks up the phone. I had left 3 messages over the last month and nada.

OP again. I think he is now an oncologist surgeon. But still doesn't excuse why the office cannot call back.

Good thing. Look him up on Maryland case search. I know horror stories.
People recommend him because at one point I think he was in top doctors list.

Stay away.

Judith Guardian.
I had something very rare.
I saw her because thank goodness my GYN in the same office was ill the day I had an appointment and I was asked if it was ok she saw me instead.

OMG thank god I did. I am not religious so take that term as you wish, but I was at my lowest point because no one knew what was wrong with me. She not only knew right away she sent me to a great UroGYN that confirmed in two seconds. I spent over four years seeing doctors thinking I was going insane.

He did a myoectomy on me last fall. Dr. Steren is kind, compassionate and skilled. When I was being prepped for surgery, the nurse told me he is excellent and that I was in good hands. My surgery had the risk of major blood loss, yet I only lost 2 ccs. I'd like to know what the complaints against him are, because I cannot inagine what they would be. 2 friends of mine had their myoectomies by him and were able to go on and have healthy pregnancies and the fibroids he removed did not grow back, He did a hysterectomy on a woman I know and she is very happy with her experience.

I looked him up and found one case from 2002. From what I can tell, it was a civil suit and he lost. The judgement was for $547,000 to a woman for bi lateral ovary removal without consent. I read through the record and it seems his defense was the form was signed, but missing. I signed all kinds of forms ahead of my surgery and I was informed of the risks involved. Dr. Steren is still cool with me.
